AyaBabas is a dynamic African drumming and spoken word ensemble based in Frederick, Maryland, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich cultural traditions of the African diaspora through rhythm, poetry, song, and storytelling. In association with Aya Cultural Arts Studio and under the mentorship of renowned cultural artist Baba Michael Friend of Soul in Motion Players, AyaBabas delivers powerful performances that inspire connection, healing, education, and community engagement.

The Bele Bele Rhythm Collective is an intergenerational group of women and non-binary drummers from DC and surrounding areas who have come together to form a sisterhood of the drum.
